Vapi is the most flexible voice AI platform for developers, with Hebrew available through several speech providers. Direnium is the finished Hebrew agent. How they compare for an Israeli business.

The short answer

Vapi calls itself “the developer platform for building voice AI agents”, and that is exactly what it is. It charges $0.05 a minute for hosting and passes every other provider through at cost, so you can swap in any speech, language or voice model, and any carrier. Hebrew is available through several of those providers. You bring the developer, the Israeli number, the CRM work and the testing.

Direnium is an Israeli platform for one agent or a few. You set the agent up yourself in a few minutes, it calls you so you hear it in Hebrew before paying, and the subscription includes the Israeli number, 300 minutes and a WhatsApp agent on the same number, from ₪1,450 a month before VAT. Fireberry, monday, Origami, Kaveret, Fix Digital and LeadMe are connected out of the box, data is hosted in the EU and never used to train models, and support is in Hebrew. Choose Vapi if you are building a product on top of voice AI. Choose Direnium if you are buying one.

Side by side

  • Hebrew. Vapi’s provider docs list Hebrew for Azure speech recognition, Deepgram Nova 3, ElevenLabs, Soniox, Google and OpenAI, and for ElevenLabs v3 voices. Its general multilingual page does not name Hebrew, so quality is yours to test. Direnium is built for Hebrew and lets you hear it before paying.
  • Phone number. Vapi’s free numbers use US area codes and are inbound only. For Israel you import a number from Twilio, Telnyx, DIDWW or a SIP trunk. Direnium includes an Israeli number.
  • Calls. Both do inbound and outbound. Vapi runs campaigns from a CSV of up to 10,000 contacts, scheduled up to 7 days ahead. Direnium records consent and opt-outs and calls only in the hours you set.
  • WhatsApp. Vapi has no WhatsApp channel; chat runs on a web widget, the API or US SMS, and WhatsApp needs a third-party bridge. Direnium puts the same agent on WhatsApp on the same number.
  • CRM. Vapi’s prebuilt integrations are GoHighLevel, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Slack, Make and n8n. Everything else, including HubSpot, Salesforce and every Israeli CRM, goes through tools you build. Direnium connects Fireberry, monday, Origami, Kaveret, Fix Digital and LeadMe out of the box.
  • Setup. A developer configures the API or dashboard, imports numbers and builds tools. Composer, Vapi’s conversational builder, is in alpha and cannot reach your CRM. Direnium is a form, a test call and a subscription.
  • Support. Email support with no SLA on the free tier, a 2-business-day SLA on Core and 1 business day plus Slack on Pro, per the pricing page. No Hebrew support is stated. Direnium’s support is in Hebrew.
  • Data. Vapi lists SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA and PCI DSS on its security page and offers EU deployment. Its privacy policy says call recordings, transcripts and logs “may be retained to help train and improve the AI models”; zero data retention starts on the $29 Core plan. Direnium hosts in the EU and never trains on your calls.

What 300 minutes a month costs

On Vapi, 300 minutes is $15 of hosting plus the providers at cost, which the pricing calculator puts at roughly $0.03 to $0.08 a minute for speech, model and voice, plus Twilio telephony. Call it $25 to $45, about ₪80 to ₪140, plus $29 a month if you want zero data retention, plus the Israeli number from your carrier, before VAT and before the developer. Direnium is ₪1,450 for the month with everything included.

Choose Vapi if

  • You are a developer or an agency building many agents and want to pick every provider.
  • You need an EU deployment, multi-agent squads, evals and simulations.
  • Per-minute cost at large volume matters more than time to launch.
  • You already run your own SIP carrier and CRM middleware.

Choose Direnium if

  • You want a Hebrew agent answering this week without a developer.
  • You need an Israeli number, Israeli CRMs and WhatsApp on the same number included.
  • You want to hear the agent before paying and cancel monthly.
  • You do not want your recordings used to train anyone’s models.

How much does an AI voice agent cost in Israel puts every published price on the same month. Is it legal to use an AI voice agent in Israel covers recording, disclosure and privacy. The full comparison of Hebrew voice agent vendors lists Vapi next to every other option.

Facts about Vapi were read from its own site and documentation on 2 November 2026 and are linked above. Dollar prices are converted at the Bank of Israel rate of ₪3.118 (30 October 2026). Prices and features change; check the vendor's page before deciding. Set up a Direnium agent and it will call you.
