Getting started
Your first agent, from sign-up to the first call.
- Welcome to Direnium
- Quick Start: your first agent in a few minutes
- Accounts, Roles & Organizations
- Understanding the Home Dashboard
- How to go live: from sign-up to your first call Sign up, answer a few questions about your business, pick a voice and get a trial call. After activation the agent gets a phone number and goes live.
- How to activate your account, and what happens after payment Choose how many agents and minutes you need, add billing details and pay on a secure page. After payment the agent gets its own number and goes live.
- Glossary: what each term in Direnium means A short explanation of every term in the product: agent, script, knowledge, action, automation, dial list, lead, test call, minutes, API key and webhook.
Agents
Instructions, voice, behaviour and testing before you go live.
- Abilities & Configuration
- Brand Voice: Guidelines & Style
- Agent Profiles & Personas
- AI Agent Abilities
- Testing Agents & Handoffs
- How to write the script and the greeting The script tells the agent who it is, what the business offers and how to run the call. Write it under Behavior, together with the greeting.
- How to use the customer's name in a call Variables let the agent greet each customer by name and mention details like the car model. Type @ in the script; the value comes from the dial list.
- How to set calling hours and holidays Hours decide on which days and at what times the agent makes calls. Mark the days, set the times and choose which holidays to skip, under Hours.
- How the agent books meetings in your calendar Once a calendar is connected, turn on meeting booking under Actions & permissions. On a call the agent checks availability and offers only open slots.
- How the agent collects details from the customer Give the agent a list of details to find out: name, phone, budget and more. It asks for them on the call, and you can use them in messages and CRM updates.
- What the agent may do on a call Under Actions & permissions you decide what the agent may do during a call: send an SMS, book a meeting, collect details or hand over to the team.
- How to turn an agent off, archive it and restore it One switch at the top of the agent page turns it off on every channel, deleting nothing. An agent you no longer need goes to the archive and can be restored.
- How the agent calls back a customer who asked When a customer asks to be called back, the agent calls again at the agreed time, within calling hours. Turn it on with one switch under Automations.
- How to change the agent's name, language and voice The agent's name, role, languages and voice are under Identity. The first language in the list is the primary one, and it decides which voices you can pick.
- How to restore an earlier version of the agent Every save of the agent's settings keeps a copy. Open Version history from the three-dots menu on the agent page, pick a date and click Restore.
- How the agent verifies customers, and who can call it The agent can verify a customer with a code sent by SMS before it shares information, and check that an ID or email is valid. You can also limit who calls it.
Testing & improving
Test calls, call history and improving the agent.
- How to make a test call On a test call the agent calls your phone and you hear it the way a customer would. Click Test call in the agent's settings and enter your number.
- How to define a successful call and indicators Choose what counts as a successful call, such as a booked meeting, and add indicators for what matters on calls. From then on every call is scored.
Calls & phone
Numbers, inbound and outbound calls, recordings and summaries.
- How to turn on inbound calls Turn on the Inbound calls switch in the agent's settings, under Channels, and confirm the number. From then on the agent answers everyone who calls that number.
- How to transfer a call to a person Set transfer rules: a situation in one sentence and a phone number. When it happens, the agent transfers the call. You can also just open a task for the team.
Connecting a number, templates, and handing over between the agent and a person.
Dial lists & campaigns
Who to call, when, and how many times.
- How the agent calls leads from your CRM Set up a dial list from your CRM: pick a lead source, decide which leads get a call and turn the list on. The leads stay in your CRM and are read from there.
- How to trigger calls through the API Every lead your system sends through the API enters a dial list, and the agent calls it. Set up a list, send your developer a link with a key, turn it on.
- How to set who, when and how many times the agent calls A dial list card has three rows: who gets a call, when to call and how many attempts. Call pace and the daily cap are under More settings.
- Why a lead was not called The dial list's log shows every lead that was not called, with the reason: the list is off, no minutes, an invalid phone, a condition that stopped it, and more.
Automations
What happens after a call: messages, emails and system updates.
- How to create an automation An automation is something the agent does on its own when a call starts or ends: update the CRM, message the customer or the team, or call back.
- How to send the team a call summary on WhatsApp An automation that sends your team a WhatsApp message after every answered call, with the call summary and the customer's phone number.
- How to update your CRM after a call An automation that updates your CRM after every call: pick the connected system, what to change and which lead to update, try it on a test lead and turn it on.
- How to message the customer after a call An automation that sends the customer an SMS or a WhatsApp template after the call, with details from the call such as their name. Set it up under Automations.
- How to test an automation before turning it on Three ways to test an automation before it runs on customers: a preview that sends nothing, a real run on the last call, and a test call that runs automations.
- How to connect your own API to an automation When your system is not in the integration library, define one request to its API: describe it in words or paste a curl command, send it once to test, and save.
- How to run a different action for each call outcome An automation can run only after certain calls: an interested customer, a booked meeting, a callback request or no answer. Create one automation per outcome.
- How to include details from the call in a message In a message an automation sends, type @ and pick a detail from the call: the summary, the customer's phone, the recording link or a detail the agent collected.
Integrations & CRM
Connect your systems so the agent can read and write.
- Contacts, Deals & Pipelines
- Google Calendar & Fireberry
- API Keys & External Workflow Triggers
- Custom Fields & CRM Settings
- Custom MCP Connections
- How to connect a CRM or another system Connect a CRM, a calendar or a spreadsheet from the integration library: pick the system, enter an access key or sign in, and save the connection.
- How to connect Google Calendar Connect your business Google Calendar from Workspace settings, under Calendar. Then turn on meeting booking for each agent and it books into that calendar.
- How to connect Fireberry Connect Fireberry with one API key, from the integration library. Once connected, the agent can update Fireberry records and log calls on them.
- How to connect monday Connect monday with one personal token, from the integration library. Once connected, the agent can update board items and statuses and log calls on them.
- How to connect Google Sheets Connect a Google Sheets spreadsheet with its link and a Google sign-in. Once connected, the sheet can be a lead source, and the agent writes results to it.
Knowledge
What the agent knows about your business, and how to update it.
- Knowledge Base: Teach Your Agent
- How to add knowledge to the agent Knowledge is what the agent answers questions from: prices, hours, policies. Add it under Knowledge, from a sheet, a file or by writing it yourself.
- How the agent uses knowledge, and how to test it During a call the agent looks for answers in its knowledge sources. Click Test a question to see which answer it finds, and from which source, without a call.
API & developers
API keys and webhooks for developers.
- How to create and manage API keys An API key identifies your system to Direnium. Create it in Workspace settings, under API Keys, choose its scopes and copy it once.
- How to receive updates with webhooks and verify the signature A webhook sends your server a signed POST request the moment something happens, such as a call ending. Add an endpoint, choose events and verify the signature.
- How to place a call right away through the API One POST request to /calls places an outbound call from the agent to a number you choose, with values for the script variables. Needs the calls:place scope.
- How to fetch calls, transcripts and recordings through the API Three GET requests return the list of calls, one call with its full transcript, and the recording file. Needs an API key with the calls:read scope.
Billing & minutes
Plans, minute balance and receipts.
Account & security
Users, permissions, sign-in and security.
- How to add test numbers A test number is a number of your own team that the agent calls in tests even when the list is off. Add it in Workspace settings, under Calls & Messages.
- How to invite team members, and what each role sees An admin invites users from the Members screen: enter an email, choose a role and send the invite. Admins set up everything; members work with conversations.
- How to keep your account secure: password, two-step verification and devices On the My account screen you change your password, turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app, and sign out devices you do not recognize.
