Instagram: DMs, Comments & Reply-and-DM
Connecting Instagram
Go to Settings โ Services and click Instagram. You will be redirected to Meta to authorize your Instagram Business account. Only Business or Creator accounts can be connected, personal accounts do not expose the required APIs.
Triggers
- Instagram DM Received: fires when a customer sends you a direct message.
- Instagram Comment: fires when a customer comments on one of your posts. Choose which post(s) to listen to in the config.
- Instagram New Follower: fires when someone new follows your account.
Actions
- Send DM: reply to the current conversation.
- Reply to Comment: post a public reply under the comment.
- Reply-and-DM: post a public comment reply and send a DM to the same user (common for "Comment CALL and I'll DM you the details" campaigns).
Post picker
The Comment trigger and Reply actions use a post picker, you see your recent posts with thumbnails and pick which ones to listen to or reply on. You can also leave it wildcard to cover every post.
Daily caps
Instagram rate-limits automated messaging. Direnium enforces a configurable daily cap per account to keep you well inside the platform's limits. You set the cap in the Service config.
