Custom Fields & CRM Settings

The built-in CRM ships with standard fields on contacts, companies, and deals. You extend it with custom fields that match your business.

Adding a custom field

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ CRM.
  2. Pick the entity, Contact, Company, or Deal.
  3. Click Add Field, pick a type (text, number, date, select, boolean, reference), give it a label, and save.

The new field is available everywhere the entity shows up, the table, the drawer, the Add Contact node, the AI Agent's collect_field ability.

AI-generated fields

The workflow chat assistant can create fields for you. If you describe a flow that needs a field you do not have yet, the assistant proposes the field in its plan, you approve it before it is created.

Field types

  • Text, single-line, used for names, notes, IDs.
  • Number, numeric, used for scores, amounts, counts.
  • Date, ISO-8601 date or datetime.
  • Select, a closed list of options.
  • Boolean, true/false toggle.
  • Reference, link to another record (a contact, a company, a deal, or a custom data object).

CRM pipelines

Deals live in pipelines, sequences of stages you move deals through. Create or edit pipelines in Settings โ†’ CRM. Stages have colors and sort order. A deal always sits in exactly one stage of one pipeline.
