Pending Tasks are approvals and one-off actions the workflow needs a human to decide on. They usually come from Gate nodes configured as "human approval" or from the workflow chat proposing an action you need to sign off on.

What shows up here

• A Gate is paused and waiting for approve or reject.
• The workflow chat proposed a change you have not approved yet.
• An AI Agent hit a safety guardrail and needs confirmation before proceeding.

Acting on a task

Click a task to see the context, which workflow, which contact, what is about to happen. Approve, reject, or edit and approve. Rejecting a Gate cancels that workflow run; approving it continues on the "yes" branch.

Expiration

Tasks have a configurable timeout. If a Gate is not handled in that window, the run defaults to the rejection path so customers are not left hanging forever.
